History
During the pandemic, quarantine and the growing popularity of online gaming greatly reduced the size of the Bentley Student Gaming Organization, prompting us to overhaul and rebrand the club. We had a totally new EBoard as all of the prior EBoard graduated, leaving us with a lot of freedom and a lot of issues to resolve.

Rebranding
One of the major changes I decided to make was creating a new logo that was more recognizable and could easily be put on merch like stickers. I segmented our audience into casual and serious gamers and planned events accordingly. I also expanded our advertising to different platforms to show that we are still an active club.

Instagram is very popular with college students, so we decided to be more active on our own account. The account only had a few posts and less than 100 followers at the beginning of May 2022 but now has 600+ followers as of Sep 2024. We found that having less "polished" posts had more interaction (likes), so I made stories and posts of us getting ready for events to hype them up. There are more professional posts to announce official events as well as newsletter reels.
Physical Deliverables
Flyers and physical marketing are still very prevalent on campus, so I have physical and digital versions of our marketing. For every event, I create flyers that we hang up and give out. I found that giving them out is more effective than hanging them up because people are able to ask questions and remember the event better. I also created stickers and brochures that are given out at our events. I found that this helps spread the word because people remember the freebies and can put things like stickers on their laptops or water bottles.
